References on the left, paintings on the right. Ironically the lizard eye took me the longest but turned out flat and lifeless. I do like the nail though, so you lose some and gain some.

Character Poses
To my surprise, this is turning out to be a (relatively) productive reading week. This was a fun one, I loved stretching his jaw.

Clouds and Skies
Some cloud/sky studies and also spaaace. The latter of which is completely irrelevant, but I've been watching a lot of Portal 2 walkthroughs lately. So, one of the thumbnails are of space but I hope Florian won't knock me down for it. I have other thumbnails - and some of them are of clouds! I tried.
And the final painting, which turned out more 'fairy tale' than I intended, but I'm liking the swirls.

Hands & Feet
Drawing hands and feet for Thurman. The observational hands came out too rendered and the shorthand drawings aren't as anatomically sound as I want them to be, but all in all I think I'm satisfied.
Somehow I ended up writing a prose about biting my hands and feet. As I write this post, I'm quite sure that half of me is in the dream world.

Circles
Today I drew circles with lights and shades. Exciting stuff!
And though these aren't the most creative assignments, I do appreciate these fundamentals. School is filling my voids with everything I want to learn. It's a good feeling.

Character in a Partial Environment
And another set of layouts, this time from Komza's class. Oddly enough I like the original floorplan better than the render. I'm glad I scanned it before I flushed it with markers.
Psst, other than the obvious shadows/lighting, there are two objects that are new or have changed in the render. What are they?
Answer: the character (obvious), and the position of a tree in the background.
